Steve started his career as a CPA with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co, now KPMG. After earning his MBA from NYU, Steve was tapped by his family to lead their multi-unit retail clothing company. He added 10 more successful years to the firm’s four-generation history before giving in to the dream of creating his ideal restaurant. That was 1994, and he’s never looked back.

Bruce brings 25 years of restaurant industry experience to Not Your Average Joe's. Among his credits is a key role in helping Legal Sea Foods grow from a nine-unit regional operator to a highly successful 30-unit company. Prior to his work at Legal, Bruce served as president of a Dunkin Donuts’ division licensed to develop Chili’s franchises in the Northeast. Bruce began his career as a CPA with Arthur Anderson. His operational and financial experience is critical to the execution of Not Your Average Joe's aggressive expansion plan. Bruce joined the company in 2005.

Joe McGuire
Chief Financial Officer

More than 25 years of expertise and a great track record have earned Joe high marks as a top financial executive. He comes to Not Your Average Joe's from Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, a publicly traded national consumer electronics retailer, where he served as CEO after almost a decade in the role of CFO. Joe guided Tweeter through an initial public offering, follow-on offerings and 15 acquisitions. His proven and extensive finance background and his leadership skills will be valuable assets to Not Your Average Joe’s planned roll out.

A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, Chris began his career with Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley. After working with the Cypress Club in San Francisco, he served four years as sous chef for the highly celebrated Hiro Sone at Terra in St. Helena, California. Chris joined Not Your Average Joe's in 1997 as opening chef in Needham, our second location, where he set a new standard for success, earning a promotion to executive chef in December of 2000. His talent is best exemplified by the food at Not Your Average Joe's.

Joe LoPiccolo
Chief People Officer

Joe built a storybook career, rising from salesperson to senior vice president during his 20 years at Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, a publicly traded national consumer electronics retailer. As head of training and sales, Joe helped Tweeter set an industry-wide standard for training and people-based philosophies. His expertise and passion for “doing the right thing” fit right in at Not Your Average Joe's, a company that’s fueled on the belief that people are both our core competency and competitive advantage.

Dennis Maher
VP of Real Estate

Dennis is responsible for site strategy and selection, leasing, design, construction and facilities maintenance. He brings us more than 25 years of real estate experience, including 13 years with Starbucks Coffee. Dennis developed Starbucks’ northeast penetration plan, personally selected and developed the first 100 sites and ultimately rose to the position of northeast asset manager, overseeing all real estate matters for 500 units in a 10-state region. Prior to his work with Starbucks, Dennis was a real estate broker with a focus on restaurant leasing and consulting.
